A cosy stylish cottage arranged over three floors, ideally located in the old town area of Scarborough's South Bay.
St Mary's Church, the resting place of Anne Brontë is a short walk away and the nearby Scarborough Castle walls can be seen from the cottage windows.
Purchased in 2023, the Cottage has been fully renovated to a high standard and offers a modern interior design within a quirky traditional fisherman's cottage and has everything you need for a home away from home stay.
Sleeping up to 6, with a master bedroom, twin room and a sofa bed in the lounge, its position on the hill gives a view from the front door down to the beach at South Bay.
A short walk from all the main attractions, Tunny Cottage is the ideal base to discover all that Scarborough has to offer from the bright lights of the seafront with fish and chips, ice cream, arcades and donkey rides to the Open Air Theatre, Spa Complex and Scarborough Castle.
A perfect base for exploring the surrounding coastal areas such as Cayton Bay, Filey or Whitby.

Parking
Parking is limited to street bays between 9am - 7pm and require a daily parking permit which we provide free of charge.
Additional pay and display car parks are just a short walk and approximately £6 per day.
Accessibility
Tunny cottage is located on a steep hill which is a feature of the Old Town area of Scarborough and may not be suitable for people with restricted or limited mobility issues.
Dog Friendly Accommodation
You are welcome to bring well behaved dogs with you to Tunny Cottage to enjoy Scarborough.
Some sections of the beach are restricted and do not allow dogs at certain times of the year.
Concerts and Live Performances
Scarborough has some amazing venues for theatre, live performances and concerts attracting some of the biggest names.
The Spa Complex is a short walk away and you are minutes away from the Open Air Theatre.

We have recently stayed at Tunny cottage for a 5 night break with our two teenagers and little dog. What a little gem of a cottage!
It has been newly renovated to a very high and modern standard, all the finishing touches make it so cosy, what a lovely place to relax.
The owners have really thought about the equipment/utensils etc needed in the cottage, there wasn't anything we were short of!
This lovely little cottage is only a two minute walk down to the beach, shops, coffee bars, pubs, and restaurants.
We really enjoyed our stay at Tunny Cottage and will definitely be back!!

We have just got back from a three night stay. Tunny cottage is immaculate and decorated to a high standard. The kitchen is brand new and has everything you need to cook. The street is extremely quiet with a small dog friendly pub at the bottom of the road. Scarborough seafront is just a five minute walk with amazing views of the sea and castle. I would highly recommend this lovely historic cottage.

We are just back from a lovely weekend at tunny cottage. the whole cottage has been renovated to a high standard and everything is brand new. The kitchen was very well equipped and the cottage was cosy and had a very homely feel. The shower was powerful and lots of hot water. The location was ideal, a few minutes and you were on the seafront with all its amenities. We definitely recommend tunny cottage.

My wife and I met at uni in Scarborough back in the late 90’s and the place has always been special to us. We have been back many times, especially now with our 4 children.
Having stayed at other properties I must say Claire’s house was the perfect house for us to spend some quality family time together in between Christmas and New Year.

We have just spent a long weekend at Tunny Cottage.
First impressions of Tunny Cottage was how clean it was and that it has been renovated to a very high standard. The cottage is well equipped from kitchen Utensils, powerful shower and hairdryer.
The location is ideal for families and also couples. The cottage itself is on a quite street but only a 5 minute walk to the seafront, where there are arcades, pubs, restaurants, the beach and much more to explore. There are lovely dog friendly pubs and lovely walks within minutes of the cottage.
A lovely cosy, homely feel cottage that I would highly recommend.

Me and my husband really enjoyed our stay at tunny cottage hosted with Claire over Christmas. The house was clean tidy and had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, and plenty of space in the kitchen. The response time from Claire was second to none even weeks before our stay at tunny cottage. Only a short walk away from the beach local pubs and the seafront attractions.
We had great walks with our dogs everyday and even hosted Christmas lunch for a couple of family members. Made a couple of small suggestions for the future which were greatly accepted by our host. All in all a great stay and a great host, would definitely recommend and would look to stay again in the future. Thank you.
